Great Expectations

I've no right to expect the kindness of strangers.
I've no right to expect that sorrow will fade gently like the colors of an old photograph.
I've no right to expect a hearty welcome to a party I wasn't invited.
I've no right to expect spring after fall.
I've no right to expect oranges from apple trees (it is always good to repeat that)
I've no right to expect shelter from the storm I caused.
I've no right to expect to be followed when I walk in circles.

Besides that, I think all other expectations might be preserved.
